Mahomes and the receivers have struggled at times throughout the season to be on the same page. After mightily struggling against the Broncos a couple of weeks ago I thought the Chiefs would be more prepared the second time around. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Whether it was the receivers or Mahomes having the flu the Chiefs couldn’t even get in the endzone this time around against the Broncos. There is plenty to be worried about but there is hope that part of it was the Chiefs just having their bad fluky game this season.

Patrick Mahomes

Mahomes looked off most of the day. He had a couple of big moments and some great throws but his progressions looked slower than normal and he still seemed to hold onto the ball. After having three straight weeks of being over 75% passing Mahomes took a step back falling to 63% on the day. He also dropped to less than 6.5 yards per attempt which is only higher than week one when he only completed 54% of his passes. His second INT can be written off a bit considering the situation but his first pick targeting Kelce is him missing the coverage and the accuracy on the throw.
