Potential Chiefs Trade Targets - Titans
The Chiefs are buyers in the trade market who should they look at?
I’m taking a look at some of the names that could be available before the trade deadline on October 31st. I’m going to go through all of the names that people wanted to see and I’m going to split them into rankings based on what the Chiefs could or could not afford. On the Titans list so far: Treylon Burks, DeAndre Hopkins, and Derrick Henry. Let’s dive in.
As a quick primer for these conversations, the Chiefs currently have about $3.88 million in cap space. Adding players at this time that are much more than the league minimum will constitute a need for several restructures.
Affordable
Treylon Burks
Treylon Burks is another name from the Titans. Based on the contract he should be very cheap for the rest of 2023. He would be available for just under $575,000 for the rest of the season as I’m betting the roster bonus he was due was already paid. Where it gets trickier with Burks is that he would be due $2.011 million in 2024 and $2.664 million in 2025 both being guaranteed. The Chiefs would also have the ability to pick up the fifth-year option in May of 2025.
