Potential Chiefs Trade Targets - Other Offensive Players
The Chiefs are buyers in the trade market who should they look at?
I’m taking a look at some of the names that could be available before the trade deadline on October 31st. I’m going to go through all of the names that people wanted to see and I’m going to split them into rankings based on what the Chiefs could or could not afford. This is not necessarily about whether or not I think the Chiefs should try to get these players. The Chiefs could add a little bit of help on offense by looking at the following players: D’Onta Foreman, Zach Moss, and Kyle Pitts. Let’s dive in.
Chiefs Cap Space
As a quick primer for these conversations, the Chiefs currently have about $3.88 million in cap space. Adding players at this time that are much more than the league minimum will constitute a need for several restructures.
Very Affordable
D’Onta Foreman
This one is a little more interesting to me today than it would have been yesterday. With Jerrick McKinnon missing practice with a groin injury on Thursday RB would be a position I could see Kansas City wanting depth at. Foreman fits the bill on a player that would be affordable for the Chiefs. He is on a one-year deal for a base salary of $1.525 million. He would still be owed only $850K for the rest of the season which is affordable.
