Chiefs Turning Points - Bills Win - 27 - 24
The Kansas City Chiefs did something they haven't done before with Patrick Mahomes as their starter, go on the road in the playoffs and win.
Stop me if you have heard this before. Patrick Mahomes has never played a road playoff game. I am glad to put that talking point to rest finally. There are many things the Chiefs have and haven’t done over the years, and things will continue to shift with Mahomes at QB. He’s taken another step forward in continuing to build his legacy even at 28. The game against the Bills was back and forth, and there was a lot of gut-wrenching play throughout the game, but when it mattered most, Mahomes delivered.

This seems early in the game for a turning point, but the Chiefs’ defense could not slow down the Bills’s offense on the first drive. Buffalo marched the ball down the field and was on the verge of putting a TD on the board when Chris Jones made a play. Jones wasn’t going to get to Allen, so he did the next best thing, got his hands up, and batted the ball at the line of scrimmage. Allen’s throw was headed toward Murray at the goal line, so without the batted pass, Buffalo gets a TD here, and that’s a 4-point swing in the game.
