Darian Kinnard is a sneaky-great pick for the Chiefs...

One of the needs that I didn’t expect Kansas City to address in the 2022 draft was their fifth-round pick in right tackle Darian Kinnard. The Chiefs know more about the health of Lucas Niang and have a capable backup already in Andrew Wylie. Kansas City is taking a shot on a player many thought should be a second-round pick.

Production-wise Kinnard is a great pick for the Chiefs based on how he played in the SEC. However, athletically he is not fleet of foot and is more of a power blocker as opposed to finesse.
