Chiefs Sign Creed Humphrey to an Extension!
They agree to a 4-year deal worth up to $72 million with $50 million guaranteed
Kansas City now has another position they can add to having as the highest player at their position. Creed Humphrey and the Chiefs agreed to a 4-year deal worth $72 million with $50 million guaranteed. Humphrey’s deal makes him the highest-paid center in the NFL by $4.5 million annually.
Current Deal
Creed has a single year left on his deal, giving him a cap number of $5.2 million. This extension is guaranteed to reduce his base salary of $4.8 million, likely to a league minimum of about $1.055 million. He also has about $351K on his signing bonus. This means his salary cap number would be about $1.4 million before the extension signing bonus. That would lower the cap number by about $3.7 million.
