Over the next month, I’ll review the Chiefs’ salary cap for each roster position. This is going to be fun. After the top three, the wide receiver position is wide open. Let’s take a look at the total cost.

Marquise Brown

The Chiefs' big signing of this year’s free agency period is Hollywood Brown. He signed a one-year deal worth $7 million, with $6.5 million guaranteed at signing. He also has up to $4 million in incentives. The incentives are considered not likely to be earned, so if he achieves them, they will count against the 2025 cap. His total cap hit for 2024 is $6.956 million.

Rashee Rice

Rice has had a tumultuous offseason, but he is still a bargain against the salary cap for the Chiefs. He heads into the second year of his four-year deal with the team and has a guaranteed salary of $1.045 million this season and a cap number of $1.476 million in 2024. He has two years left on his deal in 2025 and 2026 and has cap numbers of $1.771 and $2.067 million, respectively, with no guaranteed money left on his deal past 2024.
