Over the next month, I’ll review the Chiefs’ salary cap for each roster position. The tackles for the Chiefs will make more than most position groups, but because of only one player in Jawaan Taylor. This theme on the roster will continue to appear throughout the rest of the reviews.

Jawaan Taylor

Taylor heads into the second year of his contract, and coming off a season, I’m sure he’d like to forget about his play. I don’t think it was fair what happened to him early in the season, and I expect this season to be better than last year. Regardless of how he plays in 2024, he will be the Chiefs starting right tackle through at least 2025 unless he is traded, which I don’t expect.

Taylor's cap number is $24.725 million for the next three years, and $20 million is guaranteed in 2024 and 2025. His base yearly salary is $19.5 million, and he has a $500K workout bonus.
