Chiefs Roster Prediction - Pre-Training Camp Edition - Defense & Special Teams

Here's my quick guess at the Chiefs roster opening day before training camp kicks off!

Defensive Tackle - 5

Chris Jones, Derrick Nnadi, and Tershawn Wharton are locks for the roster. The question is, who else will be on the roster? They traded for Neil Farrell last year, so he should be on the roster. Mike Pennel made huge plays down the stretch for the Chiefs in the playoffs, so he has a great chance. Matt Dickerson and Fabien Lovett, Sr. are in the mix to also take the fifth spot.

Defensive Ends - 5

This is a lot harder than it would have been a bit ago. Karlaftis, Danna, and FAU are going to be on the roster. Omenihu could make it if he’s healthy enough, but he could also start the year on the PUP list. BJ Thompson could also end up on IR with his cardiac arrest during a meeting earlier this off-season. For now, I guess Malik Herring and Truman Jones will make the roster.
