After watching the Patrick Mahomes get pummelled throughout Superbowl 55 the Chiefs took a hard look at their offensive line, came up with a plan, and then executed that plan. Their offensive line had a complete overhaul in one offseason but what has that cost them in draft capital and cap space? Let’s take a deeper look into how they’ve built the offensive line.

Kansas City’s biggest move was fixing the left tackle position for the next couple of seasons. The Friday before the 2021 NFL draft the Chiefs sent their 2021 first-round pick number 31 overall, a third-round pick (#94 overall), and a fourth-round pick (#136 overall) along with a 2022 fifth-round pick in exchange for Brown, Baltimore’s second-round pick (#58 overall), and Baltimore’s sixth-round pick in 2022. Essentially the Chiefs moved back almost a round, and received Brown for a third and fourth-round pick.
