The Chiefs offense has looked out of sorts throughout the first two games of the season but finally started to get on track against the Bears. Playing against a team that had been through a week like the Bears there were questions on what kind of game it could be. Kansas City finally took care of business against a bad team they should have easily put down.

Mahomes was cooking most of the first half and into the second half and had he stayed in they could have easily scored 60 if not more. The bigger thing that sticks out to me from the win is the Chiefs’ ability to run the ball. Between Pacheco, CEH, and McKinnon the Chiefs ran the ball for just under 150 yards.

Mahomes’ Special Day

Patrick Mahomes is one of one in the NFL and there isn’t much of an argument around the league anymore. Mahomes is now the fastest QB to 25,000 passing yards in his career beating Matthew Stafford’s stats by a full 7 games. The start to the season hasn’t been what the Chiefs’ QB wanted but he continues getting more and more comfortable with his young receivers.

Mahomes had a TD taken off the board in the first half on a bad penalty call against Taylor. Had that TD counted Patrick could have also been the fastest QB to 200 TD’s in only 83 games. Currently, Dan Marino has the record in 89 games so it’s likely Mahomes will get the record against the Jets.
