Chiefs Mock Draft Monday Returns - Week 1

It’s that time of year again. We are about five weeks from the 2024 NFL draft, so let’s look at a few options for the Chiefs. At this moment, I’m following the current draft order, but a trade could add more picks for the Chiefs. Let’s dive in and look at what could happen in a little over a month.

1st Round - Pick 32 - Ladd McConkey - WR - Georgia

I’ve run this simulation several times, and what stands out is that the Chiefs will likely get several players that don’t fit their needs. Based on the PFF simulator, safety, linebacker, center, quarterback, and cornerback are seven of the top eight rated players. The guy that’s not is Ladd McConkey. While production wasn’t huge in college, he shows the quickness and acceleration you need to win in the NFL. His pro-day performance shows the athleticism that could be deadly in a Reid offense.
