Chiefs Host Ravens - Matchups
There are matchups every week that you have to watch out for. Here’s this weeks matchups that could make or break the game.
Across the NFL, every week, teams win games you would never expect them to win and lose games you’d never expect them to lose. In most cases, it comes down to two things: turnovers or teams able to exploit matchups against the other team’s offense or defense.
Other factors play into every game, such as weather, injuries, and even the hometown crowd. When you look at the Chiefs vs. the Ravens, you see two teams that just faced off in the AFC Championship game. The Chiefs came out on top after looking dominant early but just hanging on in the end.
Chiefs Offense vs Ravens Defense
Kingsley Suamataia vs Odafe Oweh & David Ojabo
To me, the entire game could come down to this matchup. It won’t be Oweh the whole time, but he should be the one lined up against Suamataia for most of the game. Kingsley gets his first start in the NFL, and it’s in primetime in a matchup that could have huge implications in January.
In his limited preseason snaps, Suamataia only allowed one pressure in 30 snaps. If that is the type of performance he can give in this game, it should be a very long night for the Baltimore defense. Kingsley also has the speed and agility to get out in space, which could boost the running game.
