Chiefs Embarass Themselves on Christmas
The offense continued to struggle and gave the game away against the Raiders
The Chiefs' offense was an embarrassment on Christmas day. Mahomes didn’t play great but gave the Chiefs a chance, but even his magic tricks couldn’t help them get out of their own way. They are officially eliminated from having a chance to win the one seed in the AFC, and now they risk even winning the division.

The Raiders scored on two defensive plays within seven seconds of each other. The Chiefs pulled out a trick play from their 12-yard line, and it caused a fumble that was picked up and returned for a TD. Calling a trick play there was just asking for trouble, and it was right after the Chiefs had taken the lead.
The very next Chiefs offensive play from scrimmage, Mahomes threw a pick-six that you could tell would be a TD going the other way the second it was released. Jack Jones was sitting on the route, and while Mahomes’ arm is one of the strongest, he was throwing across the field and couldn’t get enough behind it to make it possible to complete. Many things plague this team, but this game was atrocious from the offense’s perspective.
