The Kansas City Chiefs made a big move Friday night in trading away franchise player L’Jarius Sneed to the Tennessee Titans. While the move hasn’t been made official by the Chiefs, it’s been agreed to, and Sneed will sign a big new contract in Tennessee. It will make him one of the top 5 highest-paid corners in the NFL.

Before the trade, the Chiefs had just over $6.5 million in cap space. This would give them enough room to sign their draft class and probably be cap-compliant when the season starts. However, they would still need room to operate during the season, keeping them from making additional signings before training camp. Making more moves to free up a little more operating space seemed likely.
