If you missed my article yesterday about the AFC West take a look at it here:
I still think the Chiefs finish out the season strong and the offense gets better but let’s take a deeper look at the AFC East and how the teams could affect the Chiefs’ odds to get the number one seed in the AFC.
Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins come back from their bye week at 6-3 and in the lead of the AFC East. They are currently basically a game up against the Bills right now as the Bills currently hold the tiebreaker having beat the Dolphins already this season. For Miami, they have to find ways to play better against stronger defenses. Both the Bills game and the Chiefs games showed a flaw in the Dolphins’ chances to win.
A quick look at the rest of the season: Raiders, at Jets, at Commanders, Titans, Jets, Cowboys, at Ravens, and the Bills. The Dolphins should be thankful the last game against the Bills is at home as the cold in January would not help their chances of winning that game. The Dolphins are likely going to drop games against the Ravens, and then split a game with the Jets as their defense should match up well with Miami. They could also pick up another loss against the Cowboys or Bills to finish the season. I think the Dolphins end the season around 11-6.
