Chiefs Chasing Ravens & Dolphins for #1 Seed
The Chiefs can still get to the one seed if they win out with a little help
Last week it was a question or not whether or not the Chiefs could get to the number one seed in the AFC. After this last week of football even with a loss, I think getting there is possible. The Ravens needed OT to beat the Rams and the Dolphins lost to the hapless Titans. There are still four games to go but let’s look at the AFC playoff picture.
The Chiefs have the easiest schedule left of the teams that are currently leading their divisions. Heading to the Patriots, before hosting the Raiders and Bengals in back-to-back weeks before heading to Los Angeles to face the Chargers; Kansas City won’t face a QB that started the season for any of those teams the rest of the way. They should be able to win out but as we’ve seen what they should be able to do and what they will do can be two different things.
Denver Broncos - AFC West
At this point, the Chiefs have given up their large lead in the division and even winning the AFC West has become much more questionable. The Broncos head to Detroit before hosting the Patriots and Chargers in weeks 16 and 17. The Broncos will head to Las Vegas with a potential playoff berth on the line against the Raiders and with a chance at winning the division if the Chiefs drop two games against the Raiders and Chargers.
